Send Clients Gifts That Actually Matter
Hands holding a blue gift box wrapped in a gold ribbon for SHG's blog post 'Send Clients Gifts That Actually Matter'

In a world where business relationships can feel as exciting as watching paint dry, it’s time to shake things up. If you’re tired of being just another faceless company in your clients’ inbox, consider sending them gifts that leave a lasting impression.

I get it – it’s expensive to gift clients. A gift basket? Even the cheapest one from Harry & David would run you at least $35. Do that for your top 20 clients, and with tax and shipping that’s $1,000 spent. On the flip side, are you going to be the person who gifts your clients a $2 mug with your logo or a generic $25 coffee gift card?

I’m confident that you, a strong, confident female entrepreneur, can figure it out. But no matter what, make sure you DO give gifts to some clients, and make sure you’re strategic about it.

In this sass-tacular blog post, I’ll break down three fabulous reasons why sending gifts to clients is the secret sauce for spicing up your business game.

  1. Because It Bypasses the Snooze-Fest

Let’s face it – your clients are drowning in a sea of emails, ads, and other snooze-worthy messages. But guess what? A well-placed gift can be the perfect lifeboat to rescue your brand from obscurity.

It can make an unforgettable impact. Opening a carefully curated gift package isn’t just about receiving stuff. It’s about creating an experience that sticks in your client’s memory like gum on a shoe. (Eww…but you get it, right?)

Plus, it’s not just a gift, it’s branding that doesn’t suck. Want to be remembered? Intelligently-personalized gifts flaunting your logo or brand colors will ensure you’re not just another face in the crowd. Just make sure it’s not the same-old-same-old items your clients usually get. Does your favorite client have a plant on their desk? Get a branded plant mister! Want to make it extra-personalized? Get a fun message light box that they can use for their own self-inspirational messages, but first you put your own message on it to thank them! Absolutely have to give a gift for the holidays? Give them a chocolate-filled advent calendar that stands out from what their other vendors send!

  1. Because Trust is the New Black

Building trust is like trying to keep a straight face during a cheesy sales pitch – it’s a tough game. However, throwing some well-thought-out gifts into the mix can flip the script.

Sending a gift is next-level charm and shows that you’re not just in it for the quick buck. It’s like telling your clients, “Hey, we’re in this for the long haul. We’re not just here taking your money – we’re thinking about you before, during, and after our scheduled weekly calls.”

Besides, give and you shall receive. Ever heard of that thing called reciprocity? Sending a killer gift can make clients more inclined to throw some love back your way – in the form of more business, referrals, or just some virtual high-fives. It’s obvious, and the cynic in some of us wants to poke holes in the idea of giving gifts, but it really does make an intangible difference in the way your client thinks about you. If you’ve ever been on the client side, I’m 110% certain that there’s at least one gift you got that you still remember to this day.

And while we’re all business people, and some of us run our own businesses, we’re more than just a business, more than just a vendor and a client, more than partners. Human connections FTW! A gift adds that personal touch that turns a robotic transaction into a human-to-human interaction. Who knew relationships in business could be more than just dollar signs? We did, and so did you!

  1. Because You Show the Love, Not Just the Invoices

If you’re tired of being a one-hit wonder in your client’s inbox, it’s time to start showing the love. Sending gifts isn’t about sealing deals; it’s about making your clients feel as cherished as that last slice of pizza.

Pay attention and surprise them – celebrating your client’s milestones and occasions shows you care about more than just deadlines. It’s time to party! It’s like shouting, “Bring out the confetti!” without the actual mess.

No one likes predictable – especially not your clients – they like surprises that actually rock. Every company and their mother sends client gifts during the holiday season. I get it – you’re almost obligated to. But what about this – send them a gift in August (that’s this month!) when there aren’t any major holidays or obvious excuses for sending a gift.

Business is about more than boring transactions. Relationships rule. Sending gifts builds bridges that span beyond dollars and cents, and that’s the kind of business relationship that actually lasts.

So, if you’re ready to ditch the drab and embrace the fab, it’s time to level up your business strategy with some gift-giving magic. Skip the mundane and choose gifts that make your clients feel like VIPs. Remember, the power lies in thinking outside the boring old box. So, go ahead, send those gifts that pack a punch and watch your business relationships sizzle with awesomeness. Your clients will thank you – and who knows, they might just throw a party in your honor (virtually, of course!).

No matter what you do, make an impact. That’s why we offer custom gift boxes for your clients – so you, your business, and your thoughtfulness are remembered, appreciated, and rewarded!

I’m always rooting for you,
