7 Productivity Hacks

As a female entrepreneur, you likely have a never-ending to-do list and wear multiple hats on any given day. With so many priorities competing for your attention, it’s essential to maximize your productivity. Here are seven productivity hacks to help you win back time and stay focused:

  1. Time block like a pro. Don’t let the day get away from you. Block out set times for tasks like responding to emails, meetings, creative work, etc. And be ruthless about sticking to your schedule – you’ll thank yourself later!
  2. Limit social media. It’s easy to get sucked into the social media vortex. Remove apps from your phone and only allow yourself set times to scroll and engage online. Yes, you need to use it for work, but focus only on your business’s socials, don’t give in to the temptation to peek at personal feeds!
  3. Batch tasks. Group similar tasks together like answering emails, making calls, tackling admin work. This prevents time lost due to task switching.  You’ll be far more efficient when sticking to one task vs. jumping between completely different things.
  4. Automate what you can. Look for ways to streamline workflows via software tools, integrations, and automated processes. Little efficiencies add up! You’re probably using a bunch of different tools already, but what’s one task you do that you haven’t streamlined or automated yet? Go search right now to see if there’s software out there to help!
  5. Take breaks. Working nonstop leads to burnout. Take short breaks every 90 minutes to re-energize. Take walks outside, stretch, etc. Just don’t have a snack during every break – trust us on this!
  6. Say no. You can’t do it all, so learn to politely turn down things that don’t align with your priorities. Don’t overcommit your time. You’re already doing every little thing for your business, and you want to help out other people who might help your business somehow down the line, but you really ought to focus on priority #1 – the core of your business.
  7. Prioritize self-care. Entrepreneurs tend to neglect themselves. Make self-care non-negotiable for your health and productivity. It’s ok to have a little fun before, during, and after the work day – a quick light workout right before the workday starts to get yourself going, an extra-long lunch break to do some personal research you’ve been putting off, or using a sleep mask at night – it’s all good!
